A tooth that has suffered trauma may also affect the nerve of the tooth. Root canals are used to save teeth. The procedure removes infected tissue and the tooth is temporarily sealed to allow healing after the treatment.

What to Expect During a Root Canal

A root canal is a routine procedure that involves:

Numbing the area for your comfort
With a rubber dam in place, we prepare an access into the tooth
Decay is removed and affected tissue is removed
The space is sealed with biocompatible materials
